Billabong High International School, Noida celebrated its first ever virtual Alumni Meet- 2021-22 on Friday, 1st October. The event was beautifully organized and conducted by the present batch of 12th learners who hosted, celebrated and rejoiced with their senior batches. The event was an amalgamation of nostalgic moments that brought back a gush of memories from past years, learners who passed out of the school with flying colours, some pursuing courses of their own choice and others who are almost on the verge of stepping into college. The alumni members were welcomed graciously by Ms. Sharmila Chatterjee, Principal of BHIS, Noida who congratulated all the members for gracing the event even as they geared up to participate enthusiastically in the games that were organized by Grade 12th learners, Misha Desai and Tavisha Sapra. Challengers like ‘Mini me’ had the audience on their feet as they made efforts to accurately name the childhood picture of their classmates. This was also followed by ‘Gibberish’ which was to recognize the correct idioms, that had them on the edge of their seats. Alumni member, Mansi Bajpai of batch 2020-21 recited a poem full of yearning, expressing her joy at the time spent in their Alma Mater and Prerna Singh, also of batch 2020-21 shared her journey which has been an insightful and enlightening one even as she took the opportunity to thank her mentors and teachers for the learnings she would carry forever. A song rendition by Priyansha Bakshi, of the senior batch, was like taking a walk down memory lane. Cricketer Harsh Tyagi of batch 2016-17 shared a video recollecting his days of growing up and finding support in the school infrastructure and management that nourished and nurtured his dreams of pursuing his passion. A compilation of the special moments, events and celebrations formed the highlight of this meet, reminiscing days of friendship and love, lending its strength to the present with promise of a great future.
The alumni meet culminated with the vote of thanks given by the middle school coordinator, Ms. Ritu Guglani as she thanked all for taking out time to make the event a grand success.
