CAMBRIDGE PROGRAM

CAMBRIDGE PROGRAM

We offer the Cambridge Lower Secondary and Cambridge Upper Secondary program at our school. Cambridge program offers a flexible and stimulating curriculum, supported with excellent resources for the learners.

Cambridge Lower Secondary

Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11+ to 14 years. It helps you prepare students for the next step of their education, providing a clear path as they progress through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way. Assessment of Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint monitors individual and group performance at the end of the Lower Secondary programme. This is besides the regular assessment that the school administers of all learners.

The Cambridge Pathway…..

Assessment: An optional testing structure with assessments that provide an International benchmark enabling teachers to:

  • §   Identify the learners’ strengths and weaknesses, both for individual learners and class groups, and use the information to help inform teaching.

§   Provide learners with a statement of achievement at the end of their Lower Secondary schooling by Checkpoint.

§   Cambridge provides diagnostic tests at the end of the Lower Secondary program for English, Mathematics, and Science. The Global perspective is tested through a research report. Cambridge provides assessment guidance for art and design and digital literacy.

Assessment: The Cambridge IGCSE assessment takes place at the end of the course. There is a range of types of assessment including written, oral, coursework, and practical.
