The International School Award (ISA)

The International School Award (ISA) is a global accreditation scheme recognising good practice in incorporating the international dimension into schools.

The International School Award (ISA) acknowledges school collaboration internationally and provides a framework for recognising schools that believe in professional Development, collaboration, support and enrich the education level.

Billabong High International School has applied for ISA 2020-21. The School engaged learners through various curriculum connected projects. The learning objectives laid and the outcomes achieved after completing the projects can be seen through the beautiful presentations of the learners. All the projects were connected with UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“No Water, No Life, No Blue, No Green” (Collaborative Activity)

Water is a basic necessity for the survival of the Earth, to highlight this fact, the learner were sensitized with the source, importance and reasons to save water. The partner School was in Australia. The Collaboration was done through mails and chats.

Fabulous Folktales on a Swap- Let’s evoke a sense of place, culture and social history (Collaborative Activity)

The Indian folklore has a wide range of stories and mythological legends, which emerge from all walks of life. Being full of moralistic values, the stories were shared with the learners of the partner country instilling right values and creating a bond between the traditional values with present day generation. The partner School was in Australia. The Collaboration was done through mails and chats.

Money- A medium of Exchange that makes you go around the world. (In House Activity)

Money’s most important function is to facilitate transactions. Through this activity learners understood the significance of money, its value and plan budgeting.

International Dance Day (In House Activity)

Folk dances mirror traditional culture of a country and region. Culture diffuses from the lowest levels of simplicity to the strata of complexity. Through various folk dances the learners up skilled with the strategies to understand people’s cultural productions using various dances.
